Airsoft Vs Paintball

Here's the scenario, you are liking the idea of simulation war and you've looked around and found Airsoft and Paintball. What's the difference? Which one is better? Which one costs more? These are some questions you may be asking. Here are some of my ideas:
Airsoft: Airsoft will give you a better military experience with more realistic looking guns and gear. In airsoft you use vests to carry around extra magazines for your gun and bbs. You have to carry a pistol as well, hopefully in a holster. Sounding realistic?
Paintball: Good for a beginner because you can just rent a gun and not worry about buying a vest and extra mags and lots more complicated stuff. You only have one gun to lug around. Your gun will most likely not look like a real gun replica with a big hopper for paintballs on top and a giant C02 tank in the back.
Which one do you think is better and why?

What is everyone's favorite type of gun?

Please post a comment telling your gun or dream gun that you wish you had. If you can, post pictures as well. Here is an example : My favorite gun is the Ak47. I like how it looks because of the wood finish on the body. Here is a picture :

Review of the Well R8 G3

I recently purchased this gun as a starter gun from www.airsplat.com as my first airsoft gun. It works well as a starter gun for CQB but I wouldn't recommend it for anything other than a first gun. It has a full plastic outer body with metal internals. The plastic body doesn't feel like cheap plastic; it is ABS plastic. But it is still plastic and will probably crack if dropped. But overall it is a good deal for only $90. It chronos in around 310 even though it is advertised for 360 fps.The accuracy is okay but bbs start to veer off to the side after about 80 feet. The iron sights are MP5 style and work quite well. You won't be able to use them with a facemask however as they are too low. The gun does come with a red dot and mount but I found the red dot impossible to zero in. With it adjusted to its highest point it still shot below the target. The battery goes in the handguard but is a very tight fit and pinches the wires. The Well R8 G3 is good beginner's gun and I would rate it at 3.5 stars out of 5.
